	4/9/11	The Assault on the Carolinas The Pisgah Forest Rotary Club to host the 11th annual event. All rides will start and finish from Brevard High School. Ride options for all levels of cyclists, so whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner, there's going to be something there that can challenge you.
	4/14/11	Carolina Chocolate Drops - Porter Center for Performing Arts, Brevard College Campus. The Carolina Chocolate Drops are the newest and youngest players in a long lineage of Black String Bands - $
	4/19/11	DuPont State Forest Half Marathon - The Half Marathon starts at Guion Farm parking lot at 9 a.m. and the Relay at 9:30 a.m. Race proceeds will go to support development for Fletcher Parks & Recreation and DuPont State Forest. For more information, visit www.fletcherparks.org.
	4/23/11	Spring Wildflower Hike - Caesar's Head State Park. Take a 1 mile walk and view Spring wildflowers. To butterflies, hummingbirds and other animals, they bring a source of food after a long winter and an opportunity for plants to reproduce. $5/participant. Pre-registration required.
	4/23/11	Easter Egg Hunt - Black Forest Campground. Bring a flashlight for this fun evening Easter Egg Hunt in the dark. Baskets are provided.

	9/24-9/25	Tour de Falls - Waterfall Van Tours - DuPont State Forest Take a van trip into the DuPont State Forest to see three beautiful waterfalls. Great way for seniors & physically challenged people to see the waterfalls. $10 per person donation requested. Refreshments will be available. This is a fundraising project for the Friends of DuPont Forest. The Friends group help maintain trails and provide support to the forestry staff. go to www.dupontforest.com for more information.

	10/21-22/2011	The Legend of Tommy Hodges- Cradle of Forestry. This outdoor drama is based on diaries from students who attended the first forestry school in America, the Biltmore Forest School. Audience members are encouraged to bring a flashlight, dress warmly, and wear comfortable walking shoes for this 1 mile-long outdoor production along the Biltmore Campus Trail.
