	4/2/2022	The Assault On The Carolinas The Pisgah Forest Rotary Club will host this years event on Saturday April 2, 2022. This is a great event, giving 1,000 riders 2 route options for all levels of cyclists - 28 or 65 miles. Whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner, there's going to be something there that can challenge you. Online registration is available but you have to act early, registration fills up quickly.

	4/11-4/16, 2022	The 13th Annual Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race - 2022. Experience some of the best single track biking in the country. May	5/7 & 5/8, 2022	Upper French Broad River Clean-Up - Free breakfast & lunch for participants of this bi-annual river clean-up. Headwaters Outfitters, Rosman, NC. Sign up needed.
	5/7/2022	9th Annual Looking Glass Bike Tour. Don't miss this one of a kind bike tour. Diverse terrain, chip-timed results, rest stops, local food, SAG Wagons. Along the tour, you will be treated to some of the most beautiful spots in the area. 55, 90 & 105 Mile Routes available. The event is open to the public and will have food for sale for spectators. Ride is limited to the first 500 riders
	5/14/2022	Music on the Mountain Bluegrass Jam Sessions at Table Rock State Park, Pickens SC from 2pm-6pm. Bring your instruments or just listen and enjoy. Free of charge, but donations accepted to cover costs of refreshments
	5/17-6/4, 2022	Cradle of Forestry 'In Search of Blue Ghost' Twilight Tours - Once a year for a short duration, blue ghost fireflies hover the forest floor with a lingering bluish glow. Seek alongside naturalists on paved trails as to why this small firefly has been the focus of generations worth of folklore and myths. 8:30pm-10:30pm. Online booking opens on April 15th. ($)

	Every Monday	Mountain Monday Music - Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard hosts a music jam session for all skill levels on every Monday evening throughout the summer. 6pm.
	6/3-6/4, 2022	Annual White Squirrel Festival - 2022. Mountain music, arts & crafts, self guided tours, FREE shuttles to see white squirrels. 25,000 annual attendees. Sunday will feature headline entertainment. - Downtown Brevard
	6/2/2022	7th Annual Veganfest - Asheville. This outdoor festival will feature vegan food, beer and lifestyle vendors as well as educational speakers. All events are FREE and open to the public. Vegan food and drinks will be available for purchase. 11am-6pm. Downtown Pack Square, Asheville NC
	6/11-6/16, 2022	The 51st Annual Book Sale - Brevard College Gym. 10am-7pm. HUGE used book sale by the American Association of University Women. Proceeds fund educational scholarships for Transylvania County women and girls.

	9/10-12, 2022	Hawk Watch - Caesar's Head State Park offers views of thousands of hawks migrating south for the winter. Contact the local Ranger Station as to the status and the current migrating pattern
	9/10/2022	8th Annual Dirt Diggler Gravel Grinder - Sponsored by Oskar Blues. 45.5 miles w/4865' climbing & 27 miles w/2400' climbing, bike courses will feature both backcountry and paved roads through Henderson Co. and Transylvania Co. including DuPont State Recreational Forest. Well marked course, chipped timing, fully supported rest stops and SAG wagons. Event starts and stops at Oskar Blues REEB Ranch and is a rain or shine event.
	9/24/22	DuPont Forest Festival - Enjoy the many aspects of DuPont State Recreational Forest with guides who have the heart of the forest at their fingertips. Learn & participate in fly fishing, tree identification, science experiments, wildlife hike, map & compass demonstration, mountain bike demonstration, yoga at Big Rock and a history tour are planned for this one day event. Food Trucks will be available. Everyone of all ages are encouraged to attend. www.dupontforest.com
October	10/1/2022	The Brewgrass Festival - Asheville "Beer City USA". Each year, over 100 local breweries showcase more than 150 different beers. Great lineup of national and regional bluegrass musicians. 1pm-6pm. River Arts District, Asheville

	10/15/2022	White Squirrel Cycling Classic - 8th Annual - Rain or shine. Mountain bike the Pisgah National Forest and test your mental and physical skills with the most challenging (and fun) course you will do all year. 24, 46, & 63 mile routes.

	10/21-10/22, 2022	The Legend of Tommy Hodges - Cradle of Forestry. This outdoor drama is based on diaries from students who attended the first forestry school in America, the Biltmore Forest School. Audience members are encouraged to bring a flashlight, dress warmly, and wear comfortable walking shoes for this 1 mile-long, wheelchair accessible, outdoor production along the Biltmore Campus Trail. Story changes every year. Tickets are sold online.
