The Assault On The Carolinas The Pisgah Forest Rotary Club will host this years event on Saturday April 6, 2024.  This is a great event, giving 1,000 riders 2 route options for all levels of cyclists - 50K or 100K. Whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner, there's going to be something there that can challenge you. Online registration is available but you have to act early, registration fills up quickly.

Annual Pisgah Mountain Bike Stage Race - 2026. Experience some of the best single track biking in the country. Annual Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration. Come and enjoy the Appalachian Region of the Porsche Club of America. Over 200 Porsches will be arriving in downtown Brevard between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and then will be on display on Main Street until 2:00 p.m.

Annual White Squirrel Weekend - 2026.  Mountain music, arts & crafts, self guided tours, FREE shuttles to see white squirrels. 25,000 annual attendees. - Downtown Brevard.

Pizza Run The Black Forest will be making a run to Pappa John's to pick up pizza for themselves and any campers that want to skip cooking for one evening (or order for the kids if they don't want what you're making for the adults). Order forms will be available upon arrival ($).

Mountain Monday Music - Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard hosts a music jam session for all skill levels on every Monday evening throughout the summer. 6pm.

NC Flyer - A scenic bike ride through the mountains of Western North Carolina. Cyclists from all over, gather to participate in this annual ride. Offering 4 different routes with an after party at Oskar Blues where participants can enjoy live Bluegrass music, local BBQ and craft beer. Presented by the Blue Ridge Bicycle club. Brevard NC

Annual Veganfest - Asheville. This outdoor festival will feature vegan food, beer and lifestyle vendors as well as educational speakers. All events are FREE and open to the public. Vegan food and drinks will be available for purchase. 12pm-5pm. Downtown Pack Square, Asheville NC.
 

Annual Book Sale - Brevard College Gym. 10am-7pm. HUGE used book sale by the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Proceeds fund educational scholarships for Transylvania County women and girls.

Annual Western NC Mountain State Fair - Music, rides, farm animals, entertainment, food & fun. WNC Ag Center near the Asheville Airport. $

Annual Mountain Song Festival - 2026 – Brevard Music Center – 12PM-11PM – This mountain music festival will feature Steep Canyon Rangers, Shannon Whitworth and many more artists. Food, beverages available at the festival.  Family fun. Tickets $35 in advance, $40 day of festival. Children 10 and under free.   www.mountainsongfestival.com.

Hawk Watch - Caesar's Head State Park offers views of thousands of hawks migrating south for the winter. Contact the local Ranger Station as to the status and the current migrating pattern.

DuPont Forest Festival - Enjoy the many aspects of DuPont State Recreational Forest with guides who have the heart of the forest at their fingertips. Learn & participate in fly fishing, tree identification, science experiments, wildlife hike, map & compass demonstration, mountain bike demonstration, yoga at Big Rock and a history tour are planned for this one day event. Leaf Season. Typically, this is the time of year that mother nature puts on a show. Come feel the cool evening air and see the beautiful color of the changing leaves.

Flight of the Vampire 5K The Brevard Rotary Club's annual race ends the day at dusk with a run.
